Cold Environment Benchmarks

Cold Tests
Cold Tests

Hot and cold test cabinets are required for all tensile and compression tests. In the automotive sector, white goods sector, production with aluminum and other metals, cable production and production of plastic materials, cold environment tests are performed.

Heat insulation is provided in cold test cabinets where cold environment tests are performed and temperature sensitivity is plus-minus 1 degree in these cabinets. The inner body and outer surface of the cabinets are made of stainless steel. These cabinets have special test apparatus.

According to the cold environment tests, the behavior of the material or finished product used in the sectors and production areas given above as an example is determined depending on the cold climate conditions. It is expected that the products in question will not lose their functionality at a certain low temperature and will work as expected.

The cold test chambers within the test and inspection organizations provide a cold environment for tensile and compression tests and are used in many production areas.

Tensile tests are widely carried out to determine the mechanical properties of materials used in production. These tests measure the strength of a material against a static and slow applied load. During the test, the amount of elongation in the material is measured by applying a force to the test sample, and the stress curve is drawn based on this measured elongation and load values. By performing these tests in a cold environment, the strength, rigidity and ductility of the material at the desired low temperatures are determined.

During the specific test studies, the current regulations and the relevant standards published by many domestic and foreign organizations are taken into consideration. In line with the needs of enterprises, our company also performs cold environment tests within the framework of specific tests.

Meanwhile, our organization has been accredited by ÖSAS accreditation organization in accordance with TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Qualification of Testing and Calibration Laboratories and serves within this framework.
