Furniture - Floor With Coated furniture flammability - Part 1 (For For Burning Cigaret)

Furniture - Upholstery of Upholstered Furniture - Part 1 (Smoldering Cigarette)
Furniture - Upholstery of Upholstered Furniture - Part 1 (Smoldering Cigarette)

The purpose of producing flammable fabrics or fireproof fabrics is to delay the spread of combustion or fire that will occur in some way. Fabrics of this nature are very important in terms of the flammability of furniture covered with upholstery. A cigarette that remains in a careless and burned state on the seat upholstery can easily ignite the seat upholstery as it continues to burn. However, a upholstery fabric capable of withstanding the fire of a burning cigarette can prevent the possible danger.

Laboratories are authorized by national or international accreditation bodies in accordance with the standards of TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 General Conditions for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories. Therefore, their tests and reports are fast, high quality and reliable.

In addition, laboratories comply with the standards published by local and foreign organizations in the test studies. In the 1 (Smoldering Cigarette) tests of the upholstered furniture in the scope of furniture tests, laboratories are also based on the following standards:

  • TS EN 1021-1 Furniture - Evaluation of the flammability of upholstered furniture - Part 1: Combustion source internal combustion cigarette
  • ISO 8191-1 Furniture - Evaluation of the flammability of upholstered furniture - Part 1: Source of fire: Burning cigarette

These standards include test methods for determining the flammability of textile products such as upholstery coatings and fillers used for upholstered furniture when exposed to a smoldering cigarette. These test methods are only suitable for assessing the flammability of textiles used in furniture upholstery.

This standard specifies a test method for determining the flammability of bearings, mattress pads and furnished mattress bases when exposed to gas flame as a combustion source.
