In the last two decades, the textile sector has gone through a period of liberalization and regulatory measures to limit the effects of this process. In this process, quotas on textile exports were gradually reduced. Due to the risks that will arise when China, the world's largest textile producing country, enters the market, the quota application towards this country has continued. However, China's textile exports continued to increase despite the crises. In the world markets, China has a share of almost 40. India ranks second. Our country ranks seventh in textile exports behind Germany, England, Italy and South Korea.

With the growth observed in population growth in the world and the added value created in the sector supported by technological developments, the textile sector continues to develop. Among the total exports of our country, exports of textile products are the second most important food products.

In the textile sector of our country, raw materials constitute the biggest input cost. These are cotton and synthetic fibers. Although our country ranks seventh in the world in cotton production, production studies generally follow a fluctuating course. Global cotton policies, the impact of alternative crops on cotton cultivation areas and the continuous increase in production costs such as fertilizer and diesel fuel are important factors.

In this respect, fiber and yarn quality, which is the basic raw material of textile products, is very important. For the types of fibers and yarns that directly affect the quality of woven fabrics, tests, measurements, analyzes and evaluations are carried out in the enterprises' own laboratories and in many authorized laboratories. In this context, yarn tenacity test, fiber count determination, fiber count determination, azo dyestuff test, carcinogenic substance test, twist test, pilling test, feather strength test and many more tests are performed.

In the laboratories accredited within the framework of TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 standards, these tests are performed faster, more reliable and with higher quality.
