In the textile sector, fabric production has reached world standards in terms of capacity and quality. The textile sector of our country has the potential to make a name for itself in global trade in the future as well as in the future with its product quality, designs and high technology. Today, Turkey is the third largest textile exporter country in Europe. It is the sixth largest ready-made garment exporter in the world.

Textile and apparel have different processes. Textile includes yarn, weaving, knitting, dyeing and printing processes starting from fiber. On the other hand, ready-made clothing covers the processes that will turn these processes into articles of use. In other words, the processes from the production of yarn to fiber and the weaving of the fabric are evaluated in the textile sector and the processes from the woven fabric to the garment are obtained in the garment sector.

Even though the garment tests are carried out in the garment and apparel industry in this sense, the test results such as the quality and reliability of the finished garment also depend on the properties of the fabric, since the fabric is essentially the basis of the work.

Therefore, a number of textile tests, such as physical tests, fastness tests, flammability tests, chemical and ecological tests and microbiology tests, are carried out among the garment tests performed in the authorized laboratories. For example, within the scope of physical tests, tests such as tear, rupture, burst strength, stitch slip, stitch opening, stitch strength and stitch flexibility, pile holding strength, pile wear, pilling, feather strength and abrasion resistance are performed.

Within the scope of fastness tests, many fastness tests such as washing, bleach washing, dry cleaning, sweat, water dropping, rubbing, hot press, rust resistance are performed.

In the scope of flammability tests, tests such as flammability test of night clothes, burning behavior of children's bed clothes, burning performance in pajamas and dressing gowns, burning test of bed clothes, burning test of clothing fabrics are performed.
