Detergent Tests

When it comes to detergents, cleaning agents come to mind immediately. Today, there are many detergent products for industrial and domestic use. The performance of these products is a crucial factor in increasing brand awareness. However, while producing such a wide range of detergents, the ecological balance of the natural environment is impaired both during production and during use.

In general terms, detergents are obtained from petrochemical products, used in processes such as cleaning and purification, and are produced in powder, liquid or cream form. Detergent means dirt remover and all cleaners, except soap, fall into the detergent class.

Detergents are chemical mixtures and each of the ingredients has a different function. For example, the most known detergent is sodium lauryl hydrogen sulfate. Microorganisms cannot break down the benzene ring in the structure of detergents. Therefore, detergents do more harm to the environment than soap. Daily detergents include bleaches such as chlorine, soap powder and borax. Today, phosphates are a major problem in waste water.

Many conditions to be complied with in detergent production exist in the relevant legal regulations. In addition, various test methods and standards have been developed by domestic and foreign organizations.

Various testing services are provided by authorized laboratories. In addition to physical and chemical quality control analysis and performance tests, allergen tests, quantitative analysis of active ingredients, surfactant analysis and various microbiological analyzes are performed for these detergents.

For example, chemical analyzes include tests and analyzes such as calcium carbonate, sodium carbonate, sodium silicate, sodium sulfate, phosphate, amount of active oxygen, and TAED analysis. Physical analyzes include tests and analyzes such as pH, humidity, density, alkalinity and viscosity. Total microbiological analysis, bacterial count, mold and yeast measurements, efficiency of disinfectants and biocidal products are evaluated.
