Today, the increase in international competition in parallel with globalization and the conscious and selective behaviors of the consumers have made the products and services an important competitive weapon for the enterprises. For this reason, quality products are more prioritized in the enterprises. Keeping businesses alive and easily adapting to the changing conditions of the age depends on their optimum use of their resources. Now customer satisfaction is above all and it is necessary to reach the targeted quality with minimum error. This can be achieved by complying with the standards and acting within the legal regulations. Standards are the set of rules that have been determined in every field in the business environment. It provides an example in production, understanding, measurement, testing and analysis. In this respect, it shows the product quality both for enterprises and consumers.

The main organizations that set these standards are:

  • TSE: Turkish Standards Institute
  • ISO: International Standards Organization
  • DIN: German Standards Institute
  • BSI: British Standards Institute
  • ASTM: American Testing and Materials Organization
  • AATCC: American Association of Textile Chemists and Color Experts

The published standards determine the basic requirements for products offered to consumers.

For this reason, not only textile products, but also accessories that complement textile products must be produced in accordance with the current legal regulations and standards published by domestic and foreign organizations.

The point to be emphasized here is that the restrictions on the chemicals used are not complied with, especially in the manufacturing processes of accessories that come into contact with the skin. In this case, accessories may cause a number of health problems.

In authorized laboratories, prohibited azo dyes, formaldehyde, extractable heavy metals and many other tests are performed for accessories, no matter which material they are made of. These laboratories use state-of-the-art test and measuring instruments and have trained and experienced employees in their staff. Only in this way do they provide fast, quality and reliable reports.
