Lead is a highly toxic heavy metal. Unfortunately, there is plenty of breathing air. Lead is used most in industry for battery making, gasoline additive, printing industry, cable insulator, radiation shielding, paint production, soldering, foils and more alloys. In modern cities, it is estimated that approximately 20 pounds of lead per year are scrapped. However, lead cannot be biodegradable or toxic.

Lead entering the human body by inhalation or drinking water and foods also enters the human body by contact with the skin due to the textile products used. Lead, which is absorbed in the lungs and mixed into the blood, is carried to the soft tissues such as muscle, kidney and brain. Lead leads to nervous system disorder, hearing loss, anemia, infertility and cancer, and even causes death.

The Western Roman Empire made food and equipment, water pipes and many other vehicles made of lead. Over time, fertility deteriorated in women and mental retardation in children. Likewise, the last Roman emperors are claimed to be retarded. Perhaps that is why the Roman Empire was easily destroyed. Years later, it was understood that lead was caused by this research.

The laboratories, which are authorized by local or foreign accreditation institutions, carry out total lead amount analyzes between chemical and ecological test studies. The following standard principles are taken into consideration in these analysis studies:

  • 16 CFR Part 1303 Prohibition of paints containing lead and certain consumer products containing lead

The standard prohibits such products as hazardous products:

  • Products painted with lead-containing substances or similarly coated surfaces
  • Toys made of lead-containing substances or other materials for children's play
  • Furniture materials painted with lead-containing materials
