The aim is to determine the resistance of these products to external factors. There are many points affecting the strength of textile products in terms of quality. The fabric properties of the fabric and the strength of the fibers used are among them. In addition, the flowing and flexible appearance of fabrics, moisture absorbing power, ability to hold paint and many other fastness properties are the features that show the quality of a textile product. In this context, the corrosion resistance of the fabrics is a fastness property that must be taken into consideration. Because when the fabrics are designed and produced as garments, buttons, travelers or similar metal accessories will be used on them. Metal parts, on the other hand, show corrosion properties against water and moisture. The resistance of the fabrics to this corrosion is determined by corrosion resistance fastness tests.

This standard describes test methods that determine the ability of the buttons to withstand various cleaning methods to which the garments to which they are attached are subjected.

Although textile companies perform these tests in their own laboratories most of the time, in fact it is of great benefit to have them done in authorized laboratories which are experts in this field.
