The scent of the skin, the smell of sweat, the smell of the mouth, the smell of food in the skin and mouth and many other odors of different origin, are in the field of cosmetics. In the world of cosmetics, a new product is produced every day and cosmetic technology develops every day. In this environment, it is important to choose the products, the uses of the products, the products to be used because of the differences in the skin structure or the methods to be applied.

The Cosmetic Law, issued by the Ministry of Health, defines cosmetic substances as substances and preparations used to correct the appearance of organs such as skin, nails, hair and beautify one. According to this definition, cosmetic products are produced with the aim of flourishing, increasing attractiveness, cleansing, differentiating the appearance of the face and body and being healthy while doing them.

In the cosmetic sector, emulsions are heterogeneous systems in which at least two immiscible liquids, generally oil and water, are dispersed in drops. Oil drops are added to the water to form an oily water emulsion, or water drops are dropped to the oil to form an aqueous oil emulsion.

Vegetable oils or minerals are generally used in emulsions. Mineral oils are obtained from oil. In the production of make-up products, mineral oils are preferred more than vegetable oils. Because mineral oils are more easily soluble, less sticky and less prone to contamination by microorganisms.

Human skin protects the body by limiting absorption. However, substances that dissolve in the mixture of water and oil can penetrate the skin. Cosmetics are prepared considering this feature of the skin.
