Today, the variety of products offered to consumers requires measures to be taken in terms of consumer protection. Inspection and control of the offered products with various tests, measurements and analyzes, inspection of production processes and certification of systems. At this point, accreditation works gain importance. Accreditation of technical and administrative qualifications of organizations that conduct testing, analysis, inspection and certification of products, ie conformity assessment bodies, according to international criteria, is called accreditation in order to show that a product complies with the conditions, standards and legal regulations demanded by the market. . In our country, these studies are carried out by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK).

In the current practice there is no requirement for accreditation of laboratories. However, the market conditions where conformity assessment services are provided force laboratories and certification bodies to become accredited. All calibration, analysis and testing services are accredited in accordance with TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.

The calibration method is a method used in volumetric calibration studies in laboratories. This method is based on the calibration procedure prepared according to TS ISO 4787 standard.

Balloon Joje is a tube made of borasilicate glass used in laboratories and resistant to all kinds of chemicals. In order to determine the volume of liquids such as milk, water, olive oil, gasoline or diesel oil, measuring tape, pipette or balloon is usually used.

Balloon joe calibration method is also applied within the scope of calibration studies in advanced laboratories. During these studies, standards and test methods published by local and foreign organizations are taken as basis. The standards used in this regard are:

  • TS 1491 EN ISO 1042 Laboratory glassware - Measured balloons with one mark
  • TS EN ISO 4787 Laboratory glassware - Metered glass containers - Methods of use and capacity test
