Medium Dust Mapping
Medium Dust Mapping

Depending on their field of activity, the amount of dust suspended in the air is very high in some establishments. Dusts emitted into the ambient air during production activities create a serious danger both to the amount and to the health of the worker as harmful substances they contain. But at the same time, these dusts create problems for the machines used as well as the health of the employees. It often causes machines to malfunction and not work properly. In both ways, businesses suffer from labor, time and material losses due to these unwanted dusts.

While some of the dusts in the working atmosphere cause poisoning in the body of workers, some of them accumulate in the body and show cancer and allergic properties.

The authorized laboratories carry out measurements and analyzes of dusts in the working environment air and evaluate whether the results are in compliance with the air quality criteria determined by the relevant legal regulations and the standards published by domestic and foreign organizations. In these studies, the laboratories are based on standards such as TS 2361, TS EN 12341 and TS 2342 and EPA Method 17 TS EN 13649 Regulation on Control of Air Pollution from Industrial Plants.

The labs also perform medium dust mapping studies using the data obtained from the measurements. With these mapping studies, the data collected from the working environment are processed into the working areas of the enterprise by applying appropriate distribution and diffusion modeling. In this way, employers can see the risk factors more clearly in the sections where the employees are on the map. These maps are also useful for raising awareness of risk factors and enabling the use of protective equipment.

Environment dust mapping services are provided by authorized laboratories within the scope of mapping studies. The important point here is that the laboratories should be accredited from national or international accreditation bodies in accordance with TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
