In the field of microbiology, the incubation step is the final step of the culture acquisition process. Humidity, heat, oxygen, carbon dioxide and similar requirements are met and cultures of microorganisms are carried out during incubation to ensure that microorganisms causing diseases in humans grow and multiply in solid or liquid media.

Microorganisms grow at different temperatures suitable for their structure. They are called optimal heat or optimal heat, the temperature at which they reproduce best, between the lowest and highest limits. If these values are below, the water of the microorganisms in the cell crystallizes, the density increases and the reproduction stops. However, these microorganisms still maintain their viability. At the appropriate temperature, they stop growing and even die. Microorganisms are three types according to these temperatures. Psychophilic bacteria like cold. They cause disease in cold-blooded animals and fish. Mesophyll likes bacteria warm. This is what makes people sick. Thermophile bacteria like hot. Live in hot water sources and animal manure.

Microorganisms can take necessary nutrients dissolved in water. If the humidity in the air is low, their reproduction is therefore reduced.

The metabolism of microorganisms needs to provide energy. Microorganisms are basically two genera as aerobic and anaerobic depending on whether they use oxygen or not. Oxygen in the air is sufficient for the growth of aerobic microorganisms. Anaerobic microorganisms cannot reproduce in an oxygenated environment. There are also facultative anaerobic microorganisms that can grow in both oxygen and non-oxygen environments.

15 daily incubation (stability) studies are performed in authorized laboratories within the scope of microbiological analyzes. During these studies, standards and test methods issued by national and international organizations are followed. Here are a few standards referenced in this regard:

  • TSE K 224 Aquaculture - Fish incubator (incubation cabinet)
  • TS 9786 Yogurt trolleys
