Polyethylene is a chemical compound used in many products. It is a flexible material which has good resistance to weather conditions and humidity. It is widely used in the production of plastic boxes, containers, utensils, sneakers, pipes and tubes, cables and products such as packaging and packaging film. At the same time, polyethylene glycol is a raw material with a pH value of 6 and dissolves easily in water. It is used in mineral oil, textile, leather, metal and detergent sectors, as an alcohol component in the production of paraffin and emulsifier, intermediate solvent, humidifier, viscosity adjuster and ester.

Polyethylene glycol is also used in the food industry in permitted amounts.

Chemical analysis FTIR spectroscopy used in authorized laboratories is a kind of vibration spectroscopy (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy). This device stimulates the vibration and rotation levels of molecules by using ultraviolet (infrared) rays and the rays are absorbed by the vibrational movements of the molecule. Infra-red radiation energy can neither disrupt the bonds in the molecule nor make electronic stimulation. However, depending on the mass of atoms, the strength of the bonds and the molecular structure, it increases the vibration amplitudes of the bonds.

With the FTIR method, fast and high resolution spectra are obtained without the need for separate scanning for each wavelength of infrared rays. By this method, molecular bond structures of chemical compounds, organic compounds in solid, liquid, gaseous or solution state are detected qualitatively and it is determined whether the two compounds are the same, the states of the bonds and whether the structure is aromatic or aliphatic.

Qualified FTIR method and polyethylene glycol are searched in authorized laboratories. In these analysis studies, the standards published in our country and in foreign countries and the methods of analysis and test criteria accepted in the world are complied with.
