dye Matter analysis - Bright green (LC-MS / MS)
There are many reasons to keep the growth of microorganisms under control. While some of them cause disease in humans and animals, some use different organic substances and cause them to deteriorate. A variety of chemical substances are used to control microorganisms and prevent their activity. However, some of these chemicals are effective on microorganisms and some of them damage human and animal cells. The aim is to destroy or stop the development of harmful microorganisms.
Especially in fish farms, a number of disinfectants are used for this purpose. These disinfectants are effective on microorganisms in different ways according to their content. Many of the disinfectants acting on the nucleic acid in the cell are dyes used in microbiology. Malachite green, crystal violet and brillant green are the leading dyestuffs. These dyes, when combined with nucleic acids, form new compounds and disinfect their activities by disrupting their activity.
In the microbiology laboratory, in general, dyes of various characters are used for different purposes such as staining microbes, determining the resistance of microbes or preparing selective media. Brillant green is one of the most used paints. Gram-positive bacteria are more sensitive to dyes than Gram-negative bacteria.
In the laboratories, brillant green dyestuff analyzes are also carried out in chemical products within the scope of chemical tests. As in other dyes analysis, LC-MS / MS method is generally used in these analyzes. This method can be briefly described as liquid chromatography - mass spectrometry. The basis is to combine the mass analysis capabilities of the mass spectrometer with the physical separation properties of liquid chromatography. This technique is a high precision and powerful technique used in many analyzes. In practice, results are obtained even in the presence of other chemicals and the studies are based on standards issued by domestic and foreign organizations.
