Label and Packaging Control

Packaging is the material that protects the food product in a clean and reliable way and ensures that it is stored, stored and delivered to the consumer without spoiling. Of course, as well as protecting the product in the packaging function, it is also an important support for the manufacturers in terms of increasing the attractiveness of the product and attracting the attention of the consumer. Therefore, the subject of packaging is an issue to be considered.

The packaging of a product is much more protective than the chemical and preservatives added to the content of the product as food additives. A suitable package effectively maintains the chemical, physical, microbiological and sensory properties of the food contained therein. The packaging must therefore be designed to suit the characteristics of each foodstuff.

Furthermore, the packaging must be able to protect food against possible external factors, such as temperature changes, dusting, insect and impacts during transport, storage and storage of food. Therefore, the packaging of food products must not be deformed.

The packaging of foodstuffs must have label information. This information will be included in the relevant legal regulations. In addition to the mandatory information required on the food labels, additional information may be included, depending on the manufacturer's preference. At the beginning of this information is the amount of daily welcome. This information is the rate at which this product meets these amounts, depending on the amount of protein, carbohydrate, energy, fat, minerals and vitamins a person should take on a daily basis. The Turkish Food Codex has certain rules and provisions for disclosure of this information.

Label and packaging control procedures are carried out within the scope of physical analysis in authorized laboratories. During these analyzes, the standards published by domestic and foreign organizations are followed, generally accepted test methods and test criteria are applied and thus reliable and impartial results are obtained.
