Meat Ratio Detection

Our country has fertile and wide agricultural areas and it is one of the few countries in which the agricultural products are grown in good conditions and thanks to the ecological differences of the regions. More than 140 varieties of fruits and vegetables grown in the world, more than 80 are grown in our country. However, our country is not very advanced in terms of the sector. Nearly 40 is lost before reaching the consumer. In developed countries, this loss rate is at 5 percent. The main reason for this is the failure to harvest the right methods at the appropriate time. In order for the consumer to consume more secure fruits and vegetables and to obtain healthy and efficient products in the fruit and vegetable processing sector, a number of analyzes should be performed in a timely manner.

Soft-core fruits, grape fruits, nuts, citrus fruits and other fruit groups include hard fruits. Fruits such as apricot, plum, cranberry, cherry, cherry, peach and olive are included in this group. Among the analyzes carried out to determine the physical properties of the fruits in this group, such as meat ratio and meat core ratio analysis.

The proportion of meat in fruit is calculated by proportioning the weight of fruit meat to the seed weight. Meat ratio calculation analyzes are made in the period when the fruits ripen. Maturity means that the fruit is ready to be harvested, that is, to be harvested from the tree, for growth and consumption or other processing.

Harvesting of fruits is done when the product ripens or at the stage when it starts to ripen. In this case, the physical and chemical changes in the fruit of the fruits have been completed to a large extent. In the ripening stage, starch turns into sugar and the acid composition of the fruits is reduced.

The determination of the meat ratio of the fruits is carried out within the scope of physical analyzes in authorized laboratories. During these analyzes, relevant standards published by domestic and foreign organizations are followed and various test methods and test criteria are applied.
