Combustion Resistance Tests
Combustion Resistance Tests

One of the physical tests applied to textile products is fire resistance or fireproof tests. It is very important that the fabrics produced especially for clothing comply with the published regulations and the domestic and foreign standards regarding fireproofing. The criteria and conditions that adult clothing and children's sleep and clothing should comply with are explained. However, there are also established standards for rugs and carpets or upholstery fabrics. Some home textile products and clothing materials have different fireproof regulations.

The most commonly used standards are:

  • BS 5722 Specification for combustion performance of fabrics and combinations of fabrics used in nightwear
  • EN 1102 Textiles and textile products - Combustion behavior - Curtains and curtains - Detailed procedure for determining flame spread of vertically oriented samples
  • EN 1103 Textiles - Ready-to-wear fabrics - Detailed procedure for determining the combustion behavior of garment fabrics
  • BS EN 14878 Textiles - Combustion behavior in child nightwear accessories - specification
  • 16 CFR 1610 Combustion standard for clothing textiles
  • 16 CFR 1615 Standard on the flammability of children's sleepwear - Dimensions 0-6
  • 16 CFR 1616 Standard on the flammability of children's sleepwear - Dimensions 7-14
  • 16 CFR 1630 Standard for surface flammability of carpets and rugs
  • 16 CFR 1631 Standard for surface flammability of small carpets and rugs
  • TS 5193 Textile floor coverings - Combustion character - Tablet test at ambient temperature

During the specific test studies, the current regulations and the relevant standards published by many domestic and foreign organizations are taken into consideration. In line with the needs of enterprises, our company also performs fire resistance tests within the framework of specific tests.

Meanwhile, our organization has been accredited by ÖSAS accreditation organization in accordance with TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Qualification of Testing and Calibration Laboratories and serves within this framework.
