Jeeps were designed for military purposes during World War II in 1941 and became the most widely used four-wheeled transportation vehicle by the US military during the war. During the Spanish civil war, an American confectionery company produced M & M to meet the energy needs of its troops, during which the soldiers ate chocolate coated with sugar and therefore saw that the chocolate inside them had been melting for a long time. Vodafone phones were first produced in 1980 by a company producing electronic goods in order to meet the needs of the army. When the US military needed glasses to prevent nausea at very high altitudes, Ray-Ban, a major spectacle manufacturer, produced military sunglasses. Kotex, used today as a pad, was originally manufactured to be used as dressings for soldiers wounded during the war. Super-glue, now known as Japanese glue, was found by chance during studies to make the binoculars in military weapons more precise. This adhesive was not used since it was not needed much at first. Multipurpose knives, also known as Swiss Army knives, were originally designed by a Swiss company for soldiers to use. These are just a few of the many military products that were designed as military items but later used by everyone. In short, many products designed and produced solely for the needs of the army have been popular and adopted by civilian people because they are useful and serve a specific purpose. Today, many products for military purposes are still being produced in the public and private sectors. Naturally, both the design and production of these products should be carried out in a systematic manner. Everything that is produced is used by people and must comply with relevant regulations and standards issued by domestic and foreign organizations from quality, reliability, fastness, accuracy and more. The needs of the military may concern several sectors. These needs extend from the textile sector to the electrical and electronics sector, from the food sector to the chemical sector, from communication systems and communication systems to computer systems. Just as products and services are tested for compliance with certain criteria in terms of production stages and storage, transportation and handling processes for the protection of people's health and the natural environment, products and services produced for military purposes must undergo certain measurements, testing and analysis studies and evaluations. At the same time, ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, TS EN 50001 Energy Management System and many other management system certification studies are required for the companies producing military products. Such activities are offered by authorized testing and inspection bodies, certification bodies and laboratories. The activities performed are not always different from the activities carried out. However, since the field where businesses serve is military, the regulations and standards applicable to products and services may be different. For example, a communications company may produce military communications systems on the one hand and commercial communications systems on the other hand. An auto-vehicle company may be manufacturing commercial vehicles while manufacturing military vehicles. Or a textile company may also produce military clothing in line with the needs of the military. No matter what is being produced, the military purpose of production does not make any difference in product testing, system testing or certification work.
