The Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Use within Certain Voltage Limits was published by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2006. For this purpose, all electrical devices within the scope of this regulation have been prepared in order to ensure that they are introduced to the market after providing the safety conditions and conformity assessment processes described in this regulation. Electrical devices covered by this directive are designed for use at rated voltages ranging from 50 to 1000 volts alternating current or between 75 and 1500 volts direct current.

The annexed regulation provides safety requirements for electrical devices designed for use within certain voltage limits (Annex 1).

This regulation is based on the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) issued by the European Union, 2006 / 95 / EEC.

In accordance with the aforementioned regulations, the electrical safety tests for electrical and electronic products must be carried out. Producers must also keep these test results in the technical dossier they prepare for CE marking.

Various laboratories conduct various electrical tests based on their authorization from national or international accreditation bodies. Tests carried out within this framework include protection against access to stressed sections.

The stressed section is any conductive or conductive section, including the neutral conductor, but excluding the PEN conductor, which must be energized in normal operation. The PEN conductor is a grounded protective neutral conductor that performs the functions of both protection and neutral conductors.

These measurements are followed by the authorized laboratories, the current legal regulations and the standards published by domestic and foreign organizations. At the beginning of these standards TS EN 60335-1 Safety rules - For household and similar electrical appliances - Part 1: General rules standard.

In addition, laboratories are obliged to operate in accordance with the TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
