Environment in the mood for Gas measurement

Gas Measurement in Ambient Air
Gas Measurement in Ambient Air

Air quality, emission, emission and similar environmental pollution measurements are carried out by organizations accredited by national or international accreditation bodies or by laboratories approved by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.

In the workplace, depending on the activity, a number of gases may be released during the process as required by the process. In order to prevent the spread of such gases, the management of the workplace should have established an effective ventilation system. Otherwise, there may be work accidents or some occupational diseases in such workplaces. In order to prevent such unexpected events, the gases in the workplace ambient air must be measured, analyzed and monitored.

In general, such problems are encountered from time to time in enterprises, foundries or similar workplaces where welding and painting works are performed. Authorized laboratories also provide gas measurement services in ambient air within the scope of emission measurements. The report, which is prepared at the end of the measurements, evaluates the results and describes the measures to be taken.

When providing laboratory services, the laboratory must use valid methods that meet the limit values described in the legal regulations and comply with the measuring ranges. Laboratories must also comply with national or international standards.

Gas measurement in ambient air is very important in order to prevent occupational diseases caused by exposure of workers to chemicals and to take necessary precautions against risks arising from chemical substances. Employers are responsible for taking these measurements in terms of occupational health and safety.

Occupational Exposure Limit Values are given in the annex of the Regulation on Health and Safety Measures in Working with Chemicals issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (Annex-1). When measuring gas in ambient air, laboratories prepare reports based on these limit values.

Laboratories are subject to TS EN ISO / IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
